The PhotoProof™ Aztek® Reference Monitor is a color calibrated display system providing the ideal solution for demanding color-critical applications such as photo reprographics. Combined with an award-winning 24-inch LCD display with a precise, high-speed Spectrophotometer colorimeter and customizable calibrations to achieve accurate, reliable, repeatable and consistent color performance. The LCD has a 0.27 mm pitch aperture grille mask, with a 14bit color processing ability allowing for a larger number of grayscale increments, optical-quality coating for a non-glare, high refresh rate, color accurate monitor.

The Aztek PhotoProof Color Calibrated Display System with Precise, High-Speed Colorimeter and Custom Software is designed for Photo Accuracy. The PhotoProof uses its tri-stimulus SpectraSensor colorimeter to provide automatic adjustment of the white point, black level, luminance and gamma to Aztek’s targeted film and light table density points or to any customized setting for the ultimate in display control. Driven and calibrated to work in concert or separate with an AZTEK Digital PhotoLab Scan System the Aztek monitor provides as accurate color as can be presented by a display. Each PhotoProof reference monitor system is AZTEK factory calibrated with its sensor and software to accurately reproduce daylight photo exposure images similar to viewing film on an photography accurate viewing light table. The goal is to simulate with the monitor the faithful reproduction display of photography. In this way subjective decisions made from PhotoProof monitor display viewing will be as close as possible.

These tools Provide true color matching of 5500 degree daylight white point, black level and photo gamma to the full dynamic color range viewable within the color gamut of the monitor. The Photo Proof reference monitor tells one of the truest stories of color to the user. As a “Smart Monitor” calibration system it is now possible with the Photoshop Color Settings Display function turned off to have Photoshop, Digital PhotoLab, Quark Express, PowerPoint and all other applications on the same computer to display absolutely the same consistent and accurate color of the same images
